MoorPower takes next step on commercialisation journey!

The preliminary design of a MoorPower Commercial Pilot has commenced with support from the Blue Economy CRC and in collaboration with Huon Aquaculture, Advanced Composite Structures Australia (ACS-A),  The University of Tasmania, ADEC Kedge AMC Search. The project draws on learnings from the completed MoorPower Scaled Demonstrator and aims to unlock delivery of the first MoorPower Commercial Pilot.

The team will scale and optimise the MoorPower system for operating feed barges and undertake an in-depth assessment of aquaculture’s operational requirements. The project will dive deeper into existing feed barge mooring configurations, barge movements and compliance required for commercialisation.

MoorPower offers a sustainable alternative to diesel generators, aiming to significantly reduce costs and environmental impact for aquaculture and other offshore industries. We’re focused on delivering the detail needed to unlock investment in a Commercial Pilot Project – the first commercial application of MoorPower technology!
